Watch Out for Concluding Thoughts on Apprenticeship Systems

I will get back to the conclusion on thoughts on the Apprenticeship Systems after this next series of blog posts.

REMEMBER THIS BLOG WANTS TO CALL ATTENTION FOR THE REVIVAL AND REVAMPING OF THE APPRENTICESHIP SYSTEM, A TRADITIONAL METHOD OF TRANSFERRING SKILLS AND LEARNING THAT HAS FALLEN INTO DISUSE IN RECENT TIMES EVEN IN SPITE OF A EVIDENCE OF STUNNING SUCCESS.

KEY TAKE AWAYS SO FAR:

  1. Apprenticeship is not interchangeable with mentoring.
  1. There is a strong history to the apprenticeship model of learning.
  1. Apprenticeship is an extremely effective form of training that is widely supported and used around the world.
  1. In an apprenticeship, a skill expert (journeyperson or master craftsman formally, but called ‘master’ in Nigeria) passes on knowledge and skills to learners (apprentices).
