THE GRAPHITTI PLAYLIST - 2

Welcome to our second PLAY – LEARNING session. It would reinforce the message of the first one.

TODAY’S PLAYLIST – "Flowers are red" (SONG) which tells a poignant story.

NB:- I am neither a fan of folk rock nor a promoter of this kind of music. However, Chapin was an artiste who used his skill to tell some stories with moral lessons.

I just wish to use the song "Flowers are red" to deepen the insights I am sharing on how school kills creativity in children.

However just for your information, Harry Foster Chapin (1942 – 1981) was an American singer-songwriter best known for his folk rock songs including "Taxi," "W*O*L*D," "Flowers Are Red," and the No. 1 hit "Cat's in the Cradle." Chapin was also a dedicated humanitarian who fought to end world hunger; he was a key participant in the creation of the Presidential Commission on World Hunger in 1977. In 1987, Chapin was posthumously awarded the Congressional Gold Medal for his humanitarian work.
